Adrian Barratt brings over 25 years of experience from across the UK, Europe, USA, and South Africa, in the Information Technology, Retail, and Financial Services sectors. His strategic vision and hands-on approach have enabled him to grow and lead large, diverse teams to deliver exceptional results.

Adrian believes that the best solutions arise from strong, enduring relationships and a deep understanding of the needs of the business and everyone involved, from individuals to teams and leaders.

Adrian has built on his extensive network to provide ideal recruits and expertise in recruitment for Barratt & Co’s clients, coaching with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and team and individual development using the Enneagram.

I recruited and worked closely with Adrian at UCS Solutions from 2009 to 2017. During this time We jointly landed, transitioned and the Adrian led the multi-year Application Management Services contract at Pick ‘n Pay. The contract was UCS-Solutions’ largest SAP AMS contract at the time and it laid the foundation for for significant further collaborative solution delivery work at Pick ‘n Pay. Adrian was in the leadership team when we transformed Pick n Pay’s SAP-focused Application arena, reducing the costs, increasing system stability, delivering with greater throughput and developing leading-edge technology such as the Smart Shopper platform and centralised Distribution Centre solutions on SAP platforms. Adrian managed and delivered the SAP skills development programme for Pick n Pay’s Information Services and added capabilities to the team through recruitment, management of external vendor partners and contracting teams, training and mentorship programmes. He has a unique ability to inspire teams around him to get the best outputs from everyone in an extremely fast pace and high pressured environment.

When I transitioned to Pick n Pay in a permanent capacity to lead the IT team, Adrian became the UCS-Solutions Executive responsible for the Pick n Pay Account before moving into a more senior role within BCX. It has been great to track his further development and we are in touch to keep the sharing and learning happening.

I worked closely with Adrian from 2009 to 2017 at UCS-Solutions. Initially we both worked as Service Managers overseeing large SAP Retail accounts, then Adrian helped me move to Cape Town for a key role at Pick n Pay where we worked together on the leadership team transitioning the Application Division, a major exercise with several hundred staff and face-paced projects.
